VIOLINS OF HOPE

Its first concert appearance, on November 8, 2018, was in the Renouf Foyer of the Michael Fowler and marked the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht. The work performed was Violins of Hope by Israeli composer, Ohad Ben-Ari, with Israeli soloists Tal First (violin) and Inbal Megiddo (cello).

The proceeds of the concert were donated to the Holocaust Centre of New Zealand to help raise awareness of the atrocities of WW2 and to educate especially the youth of today to try to ensure that such events never occur again.
